Invisalign Q&A

What is Invisalign?

Invisalign is a popular orthodontic treatment for straightening teeth without the hassle of braces. It uses a series of clear aligners that are virtually invisible and removable.

The clear aligners make slight adjustments to the positioning of your teeth over time. Every two weeks, you’ll switch to a new pair of aligners that move your teeth closer to the ideal position. You must wear the aligners for around 20-22 hours each day.

Invisalign aligners are custom-made for each patient. During your appointment, Dr. Hickory takes a digital scan of your teeth to create a 3D rendering. He uses this to plan your treatment and show you the final result.

Each patient’s treatment time varies, but the average treatment for adults is a year. If you want to speed up your treatment, Embassy Row Orthodontics also offers accelerated orthodontics.

What are the benefits of Invisalign?

Invisalign aligners offer many benefits. They are discrete, so no one will know you’re wearing them. Unlike traditional braces, the aligners are removable, so you can remove them to eat, drink, and brush your teeth normally.

Invisalign is more comfortable since there are no metal or wire adjustments to irritate your cheeks and gums. Compared to other orthodontic options, there are fewer office visits with Invisalign. You only need to come in to Embassy Row Orthodontics once every 12 weeks.

Lastly, patients of all ages can benefit from Invisalign. Invisalign can address any issues that may be arising and reduce the need for you to have orthodontic treatment later on.

What does Invisalign treat?

Invisalign can correct many dental issues, including:

Invisalign aligners offer a gradual shifting of the teeth to close the gap. It is common in many cases for the gap between teeth to disappear faster than using traditional braces.

Crowded teeth

Open bite
