Assistant Manager & Treatment Coordinator

What are your main responsibilities?

As the Assistant Manager and Treatment Coordinator, I meet with all new patients to understand their orthodontic needs. This allows us to create truly customized treatment plans that result in brilliant smiles. I love my role because I get to help educate patients so they are better prepared to make smart decisions for their orthodontic health. 

What do you do to make our patients’ experience special?

I aim to make the patient experience as comfortable and enjoyable as possible. I provide patients with information and help to answer any of their questions or concerns regarding braces or Invisalign. 

Can you tell us a little about yourself?

Prior to my role here at Embassy Row Orthodontics, I used to serve in the US Army Reserves. Now I spend my free time advocating for my furry friends, helping and rescuing animals. There is nary a creature that I do not want to nurture, from spiders to dogs. When I’m not saving animals, you can find me curled in my bed, eyes glued to the latest political TV drama series.

As an athletic, animal-loving person, my dream vacation would be spent exploring the unknown alongside my beloved Lhasa Apso, Famous (while trying new recipes and restaurants to appeal to my inner gastronome).

What are your main responsibilities?

My responsibility is working directly for our patients. This involves taking diagnostic records of their orthodontic treatment (x-rays and photographs), planning and executing their treatment, removing braces, and managing retention. 

What do you do to make our patients’ experience special?

Patients are excited and enjoy coming to our office because we provide excellent and comprehensive care. Additionally, I treat every patient according to their individual needs and treatment plan. I enjoy helping patients, as it is very rewarding to be a vital part of helping them achieve a beautiful and healthy smile. 

Can you tell us a little about yourself?

I am a down-to-earth “homebody” and find joy in fixing things in my home. I like relaxing at home when I am not working and like to stay updated on current events and watching TV. I enjoy spending time with my son, Steve, and going shopping. My favorite food is traditional Filipino food and my favorite dessert is flan.

What are your main responsibilities?

I submit our patients’ cases to Invisalign for their orthodontic treatment and I make retainers and appliances as needed for our patients. I see patients when they come in for their orthodontic appointments. 

What do you do to make our patients’ experience special?

First and foremost, my work impacts our patients to help them have good dental health. I enjoy helping them achieve and maintain a great smile. I listen and address their concerns and try to achieve treatment goals to satisfy their needs. 

Can you tell us a little about yourself?

I’m easygoing, sociable and funny. I enjoy both the great outdoors and the great indoors – my interests range from playing soccer with my son Nathaniel to relaxing at home watching my favorite TV shows. My favorite things include eating steak and curry, watching science fiction movies and playing with dogs. In my spare time I volunteer at a military hospital.

Health Insurance Specialist

What are your main responsibilities?

I confirm insurance coverage with insurance companies by diagnostic and procedural codes. Additionally, I schedule appointments, procedures and verify insurance information. I perform a variety of administrative tasks such as responding to patient inquiries, resolving billing issues and filing patient and insurance data.

 What do you do to make our patients’ experience special?

I ensure our patients are maximizing their insurance coverage by accurately billing their coverage. I also assist with administrative duties, so I help book our patients’ appointments to best accommodate their schedule. I work directly with insurance providers to ensure our patients receive their benefits as efficiently as possible. 

Can you tell us a little about yourself?

I have a variety of interests and hobbies, which range from hiking to shopping. I enjoy photography, playing Internet games and watching anime. My favorite animals are tigers and puppies, and I love eating sushi and ramen. I’m compassionate, fun, and a foodie who loves lounging on the beach.

About Chouko

Chouko, Dr. Hickory’s Great Dane, enjoys long walks on the beach and spending quality time with our patients. She is very playful and loves meeting new people. 

Dogs have been shown to have a calming effect in the dental environment, although new technology has meant orthodontic visits are no longer very stressful. Chouko is available upon request during your next orthodontic visit.
