Align Technology went to leading orthodontists, parents and teens themselves to custom-design an Invisalign® system just right for the dental needs of teenagers. It is so gratifying for us to provide a quality orthodontic service and have happy patients at the same time.

Concerns of Parents
Most teenagers want Invisalign®. However parents have concerns about cost and compliance. As America’s leading Invisalign® orthodontic practitioner, we charge the same for Invisalign® as braces. The only exception to that comparison is insurance plans in which participating providers give a specific discount for regular braces. We participate in most major insurance plans and the cash benefit paid for orthodontics applies to Invisalign® the same as it does with braces. Both are categorized as comprehensive orthodontics.

Orthodontists across America have found that teenagers are generally very compliant in wearing Invisalign®. However some parents are still sometimes skeptical. To make the decision easier, Align Technology has designed a small wear monitor on the aligners to help the teenager and the doctor monitor that wear is adequate. Additionally, we participate with Align Technology in providing up to 6 free replacement aligners in the event of loss. In reality replacements are rarely needed. Because the increments of change between aligners are small, when an aligner is lost, usually the patient can move forward to the next aligner.
Speaking of compliance, we should keep in mind that regular braces are not compliance-free. The need to brush and care for braces is probably more critical than the compliance needs of Invisalign®.
