SureSmile™

SureSmile™ is a way of getting custom-made wires for faster more accurate treatment. Dr. Hickory was one of the first orthodontists in America to be certified and equipped to use SureSmile™, 8 years ago. We have a state-of-the-art optical scanner on site used to scan teeth and create a 3D computer model of your treatment in our office.

How SureSmile Works

Dr. Hickory and our staff have had extensive training in Dallas to use SureSmile™ software to perform your orthodontic treatment virtually on your 3D model. This data is then downloaded to SureSmile™ where a computer driven robot will bend a super-elastic wire to give us exactly the result that we designed on the computer model. We can use this technology to enhance the effectiveness of any braces including some lingual braces (hidden on the backside of the teeth). SureSmile™ has been shown in a study of 12,000 cases to reduce treatment time by 34%. Shorter treatment time, fewer visits, greater comfort and more accurate results, mean our patients get amazing benefits of the latest in digital orthodontic technology.
