Vivera Retainers

All retainers are eventually lost or broken, so we recommend that you have a spare set, especially when traveling. When a retainer is lost or broken, teeth may shift before you have time to have a new retainer made. In this situation, some retreatment may be needed before new retainers are made. A spare retainer will help avoid this extra cost and inconvenience.

Vivera is a subscription to 4 sets of retainers made by Align Technology, the manufacturer of Invisalign. They will mail you a new set every 3 months for a year. It is more cost effective than our retainers because a 3D computer model of your teeth is saved, from which Align can make multiple retainers. Our process requires a new impression for each retainer.

The benefits of Vivera include:

• New retainers are more resilient and can correct slight relapse if you don’t wear your retainer enough.
• All retainers distort over time. They also get dull after awhile depending on care. Having a new set every 3 months is a great way to retain your investment in orthodontic care.
• Vivera retainers can be made from the last stage of your Invisalign treatment, in which case impressions would not be needed.
• If you need a replacement retainer it can be shipped directly to you. This saves needing to come into the office for an impression.
