We boast a caring, friendly, enthusiastic team that is especially interested in making all our patients feel right at home! We aim to provide energetic and fun-loving service to each patient, and we put your needs first to achieve efficient and comprehensive treatment.
Our staff is highly skilled, experienced and reliable. We strive to stay abreast of the latest advancements by regularly attending continuing education courses and seminars taught on technologies such as Invisalign, iBraces, SureSmile and OrthoCad and practice management.
We are open to serve you, answer questions or schedule an appointment during the following hours:
Monday – Friday: 9 a.m. – 5 p.m.
Selected Saturdays: 9 a.m. – 5 p.m.
Our goal is to provide exceptionally high quality care with equal attention to your comfort and convenience. The following policies are designed to help us provide you quality time and to be on time for you:
As a courtesy, we call or e-mail appointment reminders. If we are unable to contact you, your appointment will still be reserved.
Appointment Changes with Short Notice
We schedule a specific amount of time for you. We request, minimally, a 48-hour notice if you need to cancel or change your appointment. Not providing a 48-hour notice will incur a $125 charge. This policy enables us to have more time available to accommodate everyone.
Scheduling Consultation Appointments
Dr. Hickory has offered complementary consultations for over 20 years. A major credit card is required to reserve your free consultation appointment. This will only be used if you need to change an appointment with less than 48-hours notice; as described above.
Being on Time for Appointments
Our appointments reserve professional time; accommodating your schedule and anticipating your treatment needs. A late arrival jeopardizes the time available for your visit and our ability to be on time. Arriving 15 minutes prior to your appointment, while not required, is always appreciated.
Insurance and Financial Information
The cost of treatment depends on your individual treatment needs and your treatment choices. We will customize your treatment, fee, and payment plan. Fees and payment options will be presented prior to treatment at your free initial consultation.
Orthodontic treatment is an investment in the overall dental, medical and psychological well-being of children and adults.
Financial considerations should not be an obstacle to obtaining this important health service.
We are sensitive to individual financial obligations and the following options are available to help meet those needs:
- Pre-Payment Discount – A discount is offered to single payment made in full.
- Multiple Treatment Discount – A discount is offered for immediate family members. There is a convenience when family members have orthodontic treatment together.
- Customized Payment Plans – We will customize a payment plan based on the treatment needed with our in-house payment plan. An initial fee is due at the beginning of treatment followed by 0% interest monthly payments over the treatment time or longer. For your convenience, we accept payment by automatic monthly bank or credit card draft.
- Medical Flex Spending Accounts – Payment plans can be coordinated with your medical flex spending accounts.
- Third-Party Financing
If your insurance covers orthodontic treatment, you will receive the benefit of reduced personal costs. Many insurance policies have a lifetime orthodontic benefit that is distinct from regular dental insurance. Insurance policies vary, so we will review your insurance to determine the coverage you have available and the appropriate course of action.
Embassy Row Orthodontics currently participates with:
- MetLife PPO
- Delta Dental PPO
- Principal PPO
- United Concordia
- AETNA PPO
Since participation is subject to change please verify participation when you call for your consultation appointment. We also offer third-party financing options through CareCredit.
Once your treatment has started, we will file your insurance claims as a courtesy to you. This usually goes very smoothly. However we should point out that the insurance company is responsible to the patient, and the patient is responsible to our practice. We will help in every way we can in filing your claim and handling insurance questions from our office on your behalf. However the patient is ultimately the consumer of the insurance product, so we cannot be responsible for payment or non-payment by an insurance company.
